- Have all items prepared and ready to be moved.
- Have all boxes/bags (not being packed by moving company) closed, sealed and ready to be moved.
- Empty drawers of any items other than clothes and linens.
- Remove cash, jewelry, small firearms personal valuables, medications and carry these items yourself.
- Have keys and full access to all locations involved in move.
- Plan activities for children during move that will keep them clear of moving area and out of harms way.
- Drain gas and oil from power equipment and remove propane tank from gas grills.
- Eliminate flammables, cleaning agents, bleach, paint, and aerosol cans
